Agnes M. Skillan, 75, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in St. Lukes Hospital, Miners Campus. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Violet (Heiser) Rohal. She was employed as a clerk for Sharp’s News Agency in Lansford until retiring. She was asked everyday by her customers to please sell them “Winning Tickets”. She also spent many years employed at the Panther Valley High School in cleaning services. She was a member of the former St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Lansford and a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley. She loved the joy of selecting and sending the perfect greeting and birthday cards for everyone. Agnes loved spending time with family and friends on Water Street along with Friday night shopping in Lansford.
Surviving are a daughter Michele Barron and her husband Don of Douglassville, PA; a son Luke Skillan and his wife Tina of Red Lion, PA; brother Paul Rohal and his wife Dorothy of Hazleton; grandchildren Kaleigh and Connor Barron and Tyler and Brooke Skillan; sister-in-law Margaret Staneck and her husband Frank of Summit Hill; brother-in-law Leonard Skillan of Plattsburgh, NY; loving companion Robert Toth of Lansford; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 5, 2018 in the St. Joseph Parish of the P.V., 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, PA 18250 with Father Alan Hoffa officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Summit Hill. Viewing Monday 10-11:00A.M. in the Church.
