Ann D. Fauzio, 97, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 1, 2018 in the Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late William Fauzio who passed away December 7, 1967. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Mary (Pace) Damian. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning were she was a member of the ladies sodality and now a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe. She was also a former member of the Nesquehoning Women’s Club and a former member of Nesquehoning Hose Company #1 where she was involved in organizing many spaghetti dinners. Ann was also a former member of the St. Therese Festival Committee and was involved in all of the Shower of Roses celebrations.
Surviving are daughters Mary Ann Ritenour of Nesquehoning and Jennie Hausman and her husband Bill of Lehighton; son William P. Fauzio of Connecticut; grandchildren Jennifer Evans Shubeck, Thomas William Harrison, Heather Ann Hausman, and Benjamin and Molly Fauzio; granddaughter Lillie Fauzio; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Mary Stackhouse, Mildred Lorenzo, and Josephine Orlando and brothers William, Tony, Franklin, Samuel, and Nicholas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Shrine of St. Therese at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 15 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Monday 6-8:00 P.M. and Tuesday 10-11:00 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to the Nesquehoning Hose Company #1, 953 E.
