Bernard J. Gogal, 82, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, August 21, 2025 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill Campus. He was the husband of the late Donna (Bochicchio) Gogal who passed away May 24, 2024. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Hadnagy) Gogal. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1960 and then enlisted in the United States Navy. He was employed as a welder for Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nesquehoning. He was also a lifetime member of the Nesquehoning Fire Company and acting chief from 1975-1992.

Surviving are a daughter Melissa Leslie and her husband Todd of Nesquehoning; sons Christopher of Nesquehoning, Keith and his wife Mary of Nazareth, Thomas and his wife Kathy of Nesquehoning; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter Sue Enyeart.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240 with Rev. Ronald Minner officiating. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Friday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to the American Heart Ass., PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284. The Joseph S.
