1955 - 2023
Christine Mary Dempsey, 67, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Thursday, March 2, 2023 in the Commonwealth Health Wilkes Barre Hospital, Wilkes Barre. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Ogden) Olsen. She was a housewife and was of the Catholic faith. She attended A. Harry Moore High School in New Jersey. Christine enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are daughters Melissa Porambo and her husband Ben of Summit Hill, Erin Sane-Aka and her husband Edmond of Spotsylvania, VA and Shannon Hendricks and her husband Ryan of Fuquay-Varina, NC; sons Christian of Lukin, TX, John of Sumter, SC and Daniel and his husband Barry of Blandon, PA; companion Dale Miles of Lansford; 11 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by brothers Mark and Kevin Olsen.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Donations will be accepted in her name to St. Jude Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
