Clarence E. “Terry” Pecha, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Forest Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Weatherly. He was the husband of Carol Ann (Albert) Pecha. They celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on June 4th of this year. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Stephen and Mary (Kopalek) Pecha. He was employed as a machinist for Bonney Forge in Allentown until his retiring. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1950. He excelled in Volleyball with the US Army and was an outstanding basketball player for Nesquehoning H.S.. He was a member of St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, Lansford, where he was a member of the church choir. He was a member of Nesquehoning VFW Post 8008, the Nesquehoning Legion, the Nesquehoning Conservation Club and the New Columbus Fire Company. Terry was an avid outdoorsman.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and gardening. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He especially loved spending time with his family and never missed his children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters Carol Simchak and her husband Stephen of Lake Hauto, Terry Marouchoc and her husband Gerry of Nesquehoning, and Melanie Pecha of Nesquehoning; a son Gregory and his wife Pat of Nesquehoning; a brother Robert Pecha of Nesquehoning; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by sisters Florence Pecha, Olga Marzen, Sue Scasny, Stephanie Petrock, Emily Scasny, Helen Baranovich, Anna Petrock, and Mary Petrock; brothers John, Stephen, Albert, Paul, and Karl and 2 infant children.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, 1 E. Abbott St., Lansford, PA with Pastor Marjorie Kieter officiating. Military interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Call Monday night 6-8:00 P.M. in the funeral home and Tuesday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the church.
