1949 - 2024

Cynthia A. Levis, 75, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Sunday, August 4, 2024 in the Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehab, Tamaqua. Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late William C.A. and Anna S. (Smith) Levis. She was a graduate of Lehighton High School Class of 1967 and then furthered her education and graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a BS in Secondary Education, and then earned her MS in German from Middlebury College. She was employed as a teacher for several schools including the Lehigh Carbon Community College, Cedar Crest College, Kutztown University, and most recently teaching German at the Panther Valley Junior/Senior High School. She was also employed as a TRIO/Student Support Director for Lehigh Carbon Community College and a Literacy Grant Director for Reading Area Community College. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Lehighton where she was very active in all church activities including teaching Bible School. In her spare time, Cyndi enjoyed crafting and going out to dinner with friends.

Surviving are cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, lifelong residents of Lehighton and members of All Saints Episcopal Church.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, August 08, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the All Saints Episcopal Church, 301 N. 2nd St., Lehighton, Pa with Rev. Charlie Barebo Deacon officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Visitation will be held 10-11:00 A.M. in the church.  In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted in her name to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.
