1948 - 2024

Donna Marie (Bochicchio) Gogal, 75, of New Columbus, entered into eternal rest Friday, May 24, 2024 in the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. She was the wife of Bernard J. Gogal. They celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 7th of last year. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of Agatha (Kosica) Nahaj of Nesquehoning and the late George Bochicchio. She was employed by the Borough of Nesquehoning as a crossing guard for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a graduate of Panther Valley High School Class of 1966. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill and was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. She enjoyed cooking and baking for all family occasions. Donna was dedicated to her community and was a strong supporter of Panther Valley sports especially their basketball teams.

Surviving along with her mother and husband are a daughter Melissa Leslie and her husband Todd of Nesquehoning; sons Christopher Gogal of Nesquehoning and Keith Gogal and his wife Mary (Koegler) of Nazareth; a brother Michael Nahaj of Nesquehoning; 5 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was also preceded in death by a brother George Bochicchio.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday May 29, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky F.H., 81 E Catawissa St., Nesquehoning with Rev. Robert George officiating. Family will receive friends 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
