Earle A. Shoemaker, 69, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 20, 2025 in Fritzingertown Senior Living Community, Drums. He was the husband of Mary Catherine (Erdman) Shoemaker. They celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on July 17th of this year. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Wilmer Lewis and Evelyn Beatrice (Gaugler) Shoemaker. He was employed as a garage door repair man and then was the produce manager in Giant Food Store from 1996 until his retirement in 2019. He was a graduate of Dieruff High School Class of 1974. He was a member of Meed’s United Methodist Church Nesquehoning where he was very active in all church activities. He was also member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown. He was a car enthusiast and enjoyed attending antique car shows. He was very handy and would go out of his way to do anything for anyone. Earle enjoyed going on rides in Dorney Park, karaoke, dancing, taking long walks, watching The Three Stooges and Andy Griffith shows, but especially loved the time spent with his wife and family.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters Heather Lewis and her husband Kyle of Allentown and Beth Stathis and her husband Jonathan of Mauldin, SC; step-son James Heidelmark and his wife Linsey of Bethlehem; brothers Paul Shoemaker of Hamburg, PA, and Larry Shoemaker and his wife Debbie of Ruther Glen, VA; Grandchildren Broderick Shoemaker-Zietz and Mason, Kensley, and Aubree Heidelmark; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister Wilma Hall and brother Butch Shoemaker.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday November 2, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. in Meed’s United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St. Nesquehoning, PA with Pastor Kimberly Leskowich officiating. Family will received friends Sunday 3:00- 4:00 P.M. in the church. Donations in Earle’s name will be accepted to Meed’s United Methodist Church.
