Eleanor Rita Balas Boyle

1930 - 2022

Eleanor “Queenie” Boyle, 92, formerly of 135 West Abbott St., Lansford, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 12, 2012 in Heritage Hill Senior Center, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late William (Bill) Boyle. They were married for 52 years prior to Bill’s passing in 2010. Born in Lansford, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Polakovic) and Ladislav (Steve) Balas.  She was a member of the former St. Ann Catholic Church and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Summit Hill.

Eleanor remained spunky throughout her life and always tried to give those around her a reason to smile.

Surviving is a daughter, Dr. Kathleen Boyle and her husband Dr. Donald Robbins of Naples, FL.

 She was preceded in death by brothers, Stephen, Rudolph (Rudy), Joseph, John, and sisters, Catherine (Kitty House), Josephine (Josie Patteson), Stella (Kotus), and Anne (Haydt). 

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, Pa with Rev. Robert George officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Friday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
