Eligah Hopkins III, 64, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, March 01, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Warren Campus. He was the husband of Bernadette E. Joseph. They celebrated their 6th wedding anniversary on November 21st of last year. Born in Edgefield, SC, he was a son of the late Elijah Jr. and Helen (Dozier) Hopkins. He was employed as a mechanic for Midas Muffler in New York. He attended Richmond Hill High School, NY. He was a member of Judah Healing and Deliverance Ministry, Brooklyn, NY. Eligah loved driving into Brooklyn once a week to help disperse food to those who are less fortunate.

Surviving along with his wife are sisters Bernadette Bishop of Bear, DE; brothers Darrin Hopkins of Wilmington, DE, Jerry Hopkins and his wife Yesenia of New Castle, DE, Samuel Hopkins and his wife Lorin of Danbury, CT, and Matthew Hopkins of Far Rockaway, NY; four nieces Mia, Alexia, Sophia, and Alyssa; five nephews Antione, Larenz, Jayden, Isaiah, and Zyshonne; great nephew Elias; two aunts Peggy Hopkins and Ruby Terry; and first cousins Lynn, Letitia, Ralph Jr., Bonita, and Nekia.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Harvey Hopkins.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 07, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, PA with Elder Deleigh Ryah officiating. Interment will be held in GAR Cemetery, Summit Hill. Call Monday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. The Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
