Fenton W. Black Sr., 66, of Summit Hill, entered into eternal rest Tuesday January 28, 2020 with his wife by his side in St. Luke’s Hospital, Gnaden Huetten Campus. He was the husband of Roseanne (Derau) Black. They celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary in October of last year. Born in Coaldale, he was the son of the late Fenton G. and Doris L. (Scheeese) Black. He was employed as the Head Electrician for Kutztown University until his retirement. He was a graduate of Panther Valley High School Class of 1971. He was a member of the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church, Summit Hill. He was also a member of the Sons of American Legion, Summit Hill, a member of the Pine Creek Sporting Association, Tioga County and the Rocky Summit Hunting Club “The Farm”, in the Poconos. He was an avid hunter and fly fisherman. Fenton enjoyed his hunting and camping trip with his friends and family but will be deeply missed by his 5 grandchildren that he cherished spending precious time with.

Surviving along with his wife are sons Fenton Jr. and his wife Kristin (Blazosky) of Lake Hauto and Joshua and his fiancée Susan Lynn of Summit Hill; a daughter Kristen and her husband Peter Matyascik of Summit Hill; sisters Betty Lou Ferrari and her husband the late James “Butch” of Lebanon and Janice Staloski and her husband James of Lake Hauto; grandchildren Tyler, Leah, Spencer, Millie and a grandson due in April; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 01, 2020 11:30 A.M. in the Hope of Christ Presbyterian Church 44 W. White St. Summit Hill, PA with the Rev. Ruth Ann Christopher officiating. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Family will receive friends Saturday morning 9-11:00 A.M. in the Church. SALS will hold their service at 10:30 A.M.
