Gerard A. DiGilio
1955-2021
Gerard A. DiGilio, 66, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 14, 2021 in the St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem after a long, strong, and brave battle with cancer. He was the wife of Linda (Musto) DiGilio. They celebrated their 40st Wedding Anniversary on December 14th of last year. Born in Queens, NY, he was a son of the late Frank and Margaret (Duffy) DiGilio. He was employed as conductor/engineer for the Norfolk Southern Railroad until retiring. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Jim Thorpe. He was also a member of the Penn Forest Twp. Fire Company #1.
Surviving along with his wife are sons Gerard F. and his wife Dianna of Penn Forest, JT, and Timothy M. of North Carolina; sisters Margaret Cavallo wife of Frank of New York, Virginia DiGilio of California, Maryanne Riggin of Maryland and Christina Gummerman wife of William of New York; brothers Frank of Florida, Anthony husband of Sandra of Connecticut, and Andrew husband of Mary Ann of New Hampshire; and two grandchildren Christopher and Noah.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, 526 North St., Jim Thorpe. PA 18229 with Rev. Ronald Minner officiating. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call Friday 4-8P.M. and Saturday morning 9-9:30 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky F.H., 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.
