James M. Marouchoc, 72, formerly of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 18, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus. He was the companion of Frances B. Watto for 37 years. Born and raised in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late Michael “Mickey” and Alice (Ulshafer) Marouchoc. He was employed in the Maintenance Department of the former Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital in Lehighton until retiring. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Nesquehoning. He was also a former member of the Beaver Rod and Club Lehighton and a former social member of Nesquehoning American Legion. James loved watching NASCAR and cheering on number “24” Jeff Gordon.
Surviving along with his companion Frances B. Watto are many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded by two sisters Jean Hodges and Joan Matta.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 149 Lafayette Ave., Tamaqua PA 18252 with Pastor Marjorie Keiter officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Wednesday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in Hometown Nursing Home Community Center.
