1934 - 2025
Joseph J. Pavlik, 90 of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 08, 2025, in St. Lukes Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Coaldale. He was the widower of late Theresa A. (Kuzo) Pavlik who passed away July 01, 2018. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Demetrovic) Pavlik. He was employed as a retail clerk for the former A & P Grocery Store until his retirement. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Nesquehoning. He was a graduate of Lansford High School Class of 1952. He was an avid New York Yankees, college basketball, and Panther Valley Sports fan. He was a ticket collector for Panther Valley Sports for several years. He also enjoyed model trains, putting up a large display in his living room every Christmas season. Joe’s pride was his family. He loved the time spent with his children and grandchildren at all their sporting events.
Surviving are three daughters, Cynthia Zimmerman, wife of Mark of Lansford, Theresa Jo Mascella, wife of John of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Maryann David, wife of Theodore of Ashfield, PA; a son, Joseph R., husband of Lynn (Arner) of Nesquehoning; a brother, Robert Pavlik of Lansford; grandchildren, Tiffany Miller and her fiancé Jay Bush, Keith Miller Jr., Taylor David and his fiancé Paige Gruber, Lukas David, Wyatt Zimmerman, Derek Pavlik and Gavin Pavlik; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning with Deacon Joseph Cannon officiating. Military interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Thursday morning 9-11 A.M. in the funeral home. The Joseph S.
