Joseph E. Tout, 75, of Hauto, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 12, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Linda (Mattras) Tout. They celebrated their 52nd Wedding Anniversary on May 1st of last year. Born in Jim Thorpe, he was a son of the late Vincent and Mary Agnes (Cadugan) Tout. He was employed as a railroad locomotive engineer for Norfolk Southern Corporation for over 30 years until retiring. He was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School. He was a member of the NRA and was of the Greek Catholic Faith. Joe loved working with his hands and improving his property that he loved around Tippet’s Pond. He was also an inventor who invented different things that sometimes didn’t look very useful, but always worked to perfection.
Surviving along with his wife are sons Mark Tout husband of Dina of Hauto and Joseph Tout and his companion Cheri Santore of Nesquehoning; sister Louise Mandart wife of Thomas of Hauto; grandchildren Erica Tout, Gabrielle Tout, and Derek Steidle; and nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter Susan L. Steidle on May 1, 2013.
