Judith Delambre Shutack, 87, of Jim Thorpe, entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 08, 2023 in her residence. Born in Nesquehoning, she was the daughter of the late George P. Shutack. She was employed as a nurse anesthetist for the former Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton. She also served as nurse anesthetist for the former Coaldale State Hospital and Palmerton Hospital in their time of need. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning where, as a teenager, she sang in the church choir. She was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School. She furthered her education and graduated from Nesbitt Hospital School of Nursing, St. Agnes School for Nurse Anesthesia, Philadelphia, and St. Joseph College of Maine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a member of the Carbon County Quilters Guild, and the GHMH retirees. She enjoyed quilting, playing the piano, doing crossword puzzles and Sudoku, and planting vegetables in her garden. She was also a volunteer at the Carbon County Fair. Judy was a kind and caring person who would help others before herself. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter Alicia Silliman and her husband Robert of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren Robert Silliman Jr. and his wife Jennifer, Susan Lichtenfels and her husband Robert, and Malinda Fox; 9 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a great great grandson Emerson Silliman.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 9 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, PA with Rev. Jeff Zais officiating. Interment will be held in Parish Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Friday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the Church.
