Kenneth C. "Tony" Walck Jr.

 

 

Kenneth Clinton “Tony” Walck Jr., of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 3, 2025 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus. He was the husband of Rose M. (Sniscak) Walck. They celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on July 1st of last year. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Kenneth C. Sr. and Bertha (Miller) Walck. He was employed as cell handler for Air Products in Hometown until his retirement in 2022. While working at Air Products, he held the position of Union President. He was also a self-employed electrician.  He was a former Mayor of Nesquehoning from 2003-2013 and was a member of the former Nesquehoning LIONS Club. Tony enjoyed his dedication and service to his community but most of all, loved his time spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving along with his wife Rose are daughters Sheree of Jim Thorpe and Michele Miller and her husband Edward of Weatherly; a son Samuel Chodur and his wife Mary Ellen of Nesquehoning; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother Richard Walck.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown. Donations will be accepted in his name to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240 or Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St., Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.
