Lisa A. Lindenmuth
1954 - 2024
Lisa A. Lindenmuth, 70, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem. Though she faced her battle with cancer with characteristic strength and determination, she passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Earl Lindenmuth, with whom she joyfully celebrated 45 years of marriage this past July 7th. Born in Coaldale, she was the cherished daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (LaRizzio) Citrano.
Lisa was a proud graduate of Panther Valley High School, Class of 1972, and East Stroudsburg University, Class of 1976. She dedicated over three decades of her life to shaping young minds as a passionate and beloved educator. From 1985 until her retirement in 2021, she taught at St. Jerome Regional School, where her influence touched the lives of hundreds of students over the years, many of whom carried her lessons with them long after they left her classroom.
A faithful member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley in Summit Hill, Lisa was also a devoted member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Churches in Nesquehoning. Her life was marked by love, service, and faith, leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Surviving, along with her husband, are her sons Ryan of Savannah, GA, and Michael and his wife Becky of Kansas City, MO; a grandson, Owen Lindenmuth; a sister, Ann Marie and her husband Elmer of Weatherly; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 11:30 A.M. in the Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux, 15 East Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning, PA, with Rev. Robert George officiating. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Calling hours will be Wednesday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Joseph S.
