Louis Joseph Pezzuti
1941 - 2023
Louis Joseph Pezzuti, 81, of Lehighton, entered into eternal rest Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Forest Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Weatherly.
He was the husband of Virginia (Dare) Pezzuti. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on April 20th of this year.
Born in the New Columbus section of Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Artuso) Pizzuti.
He was of the Catholic Faith and proud to have served as an altar boy for 12 years in the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, New Columbus.
Lou was good at all tasks but loved to garden and grow fig and pawpaw trees. He also loved metal detecting and has many artifacts displayed in the Jim Thorpe Museum.
He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1959.
He was a United States Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Newport News.
After returning home, he was employed at Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem and then at the Tobyhanna Army Depot as a radar technician.
After his retirement, he made several trips to Marina di Camerota, Italy to visit his many relatives.
Lou will be sadly missed by his beloved dog Bella.
Surviving along with his wife Virginia are sons Jason and his wife Jennifer of Pipersville and Joseph of Pottstown; and a brother Joseph.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his name can be made to the Carbon County Animal Shelter, 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240. The Joseph S.
