Margaret Bartek, 94, a lifelong resident of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Monday, April 3, 2023 in Greenwood Center for Nursing and Rehab Center, Hometown. She was the companion of the late George Chekansky who passed away January 24, 2020. Born in Lansford, she was a daughter of the late Kalman and Anna (Piskura) Bartek. She was employed as a line worker for the former Atlas Powder Company for 37 years until retiring. She was a member of the former St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Lansford.

Surviving are a niece Barbara Rutch; a nephew Stephen and his wife Miki Cebulak; many great nieces and nephews; 2 great great nephews; and a great great niece.

She was also preceded in death by a sister Helen Cebulak and brothers Kalman Jr. and Joseph Bartek.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in St. Nicholas Orthodox Cemetery, Hometown. The Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E.
