Marie Ann Reis, 87, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 11, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Kenneth W. Reis who passed away July 4, 2005. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Yacapsin) Shigo. She was housewife and was also employed as a floor lady for the former Kay Jay Pants Company in Nesquehoning. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe and was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. She was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1953. Marie was a faithful attendee of daily mass. She also enjoyed gardening, but especially loved spending precious time with her family.   

Surviving are daughters Regina Niedzialek of Nesquehoning and Rose Marie Vaclavik and her husband Milan of Nesquehoning sons Randal and his wife Karen (Bennett) of Etters and Ronald and his wife Ann Marie (Williams) of Nesquehoning; a sister Audrey Damiano of Nesquehoning; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sisters Joan T. Shober and Margaret M. Farole and a great granddaughter Penelope.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 178 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 with Rev. Ronald J. Minner officiating. Interment will follow in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Friday night 6-8 P.M. and Saturday morning 9-9:30 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E.
