Mary S. Hosak, 94, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in her residence. She was the wife of the late John Hosak who passed away in November of 1984 and the late Joseph Porvaznik who passed away April 26, 2005. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Prosymchak) Sisko. She was a house wife and also the owner / operator, along with her parents, of the former Sisko Bar in Lansford. She was a graduate of Lansford High School Class of 1946. She was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and the Pierogi Crew. Mary enjoyed her trips to the casino, but especially loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are a daughter Ann Marie Padora and her husband David of Lansford; sons John G. Hosak and his wife Julia of Lansford and David Hosak and his wife Susan of Lehighton; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter Jean E. Vanderhoof and a brother George Sisko Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. in St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, 104 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, Pa with Rev. Gregory Hosler officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. Call Wednesday morning 9-10:00 A.M. in the Church.
