Mary G. Sparich, 86, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Sr. and Rose (Pecoraro) Sparich. She was employed as a sewing machine operator for Kay Jay Pants in Nesquehoning for over 40 years until retiring. A lifelong resident of Nesquehoning, Mary was a member of the former Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Shrine of St. Therese in Nesquehoning and now a member of the St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley.
Surviving is a brother Samuel Jr. and his wife Josephine (Aguiar) of Nesquehoning; nieces Rosemarie wife of the late Christopher Martonyak, Simone and her husband Tim Zuber, Mary Jo and her husband Ryan Eidle, Jaime and her husband Jeff Lazur, and Samara and her companion James Mulholland; great nephews and nieces Jason, Joshua, Antonio, Samuel, Collin, Kylie, Derek, and Vanessa; Aunt Josephine and her husband Len Lauchnor; and many cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Shrine of St. Therese, 15 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning with the Rev. Stephen Halabura officiating. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Friday 10-11:00 A.M. in the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home.
