Mary P. Wargo, RN, 93, of Jim Thorpe, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 5, 2018 in MapleShade Meadows, Nesquehoning. She was the wife of the late John A. Wargo who passed away October 18, 2007. Born in William Penn, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Barbara (Alzo) Petrovich. She was a nurse until her passing. She served her country as a US Army Nurse Cadet. Mary was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jim Thorpe where she was a member of the Ladies Fellowship. She was also a member of the Penn Forest Twp #1 Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Aid Society in St. John Slovak Lutheran Church, Lansford.
Surviving are daughters Barbara Griffith and Audrey Wargo of Jim Thorpe; grandchildren Janine Wargo, Andrew Griffith, Alexandria Bartulovich, and Victoria Nichols; a great granddaughter Lucille Bartulovich; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son John Andrew Wargo who passed away April 25, 1984, a sister Barbara Harmonosky, and a brother Joseph Petrovich.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 12:00 P.M. in the Christ Lutheran Church, 189 Church Rd., Jim Thorpe, PA with Rev. John P. Hassler officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Call 9:30-11:30 in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, PA.
