Michael Kasander, 84, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 2, 2025 in Abington Manor at Morgan Hill Assisted Living Facility, Easton. Born in Nesquehoning, he was a son of the late John A. and Susan (Lukish) Kasander. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School and furthered his education and graduated from Bloomsburg University with a; Masters in Education. He was employed as business and computer teacher for the Bethlehem School District until retiring in 1995. He was a member of St. John Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning. He was also a member of the Nesquehoning Conservation Club. Mike loved fly fishing.

Surviving are two nephews Eric Kasander and his wife Joanne of Easton and Gregory Kasander of King of Prussia, Pa; and several great nephews.

He was also preceded in death by brothers Dr. Theodore Kasander and John Kasander.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in St. John Orthodox Church, 9 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, with Rev. Joseph Fester officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. Call Wednesday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the Church. The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
