Milan Vaclavik Jr., 73, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Saturday, October 14, 2023 in his residence. He was the husband of Rose Marie (Reis) Vaclavik. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 1st of this year. Born in Coaldale, he was a son of the late Milan Sr. and Eleanor (Newton) Vaclavik. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He was employed by KME as a plumber until his retirement. Prior to that, he was employed as a mechanic in the US Navy and a truck driver and mechanic for Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company. He was a graduate of Panther Valley High School Class of 1968. He was a Nesquehoning Little League Coach, a Cub Scott Leader, and a member of the Nesquehoning Historical Society. Milan enjoyed the outdoors.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved to spend time with his family on their fishing trips to Ontario, Canada.

Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Dana Yuricheck and her husband Stephen M. of Nesquehoning; a son Aaron Vaclavik of Nesquehoning; a sister Marsha Vaclavik of Lehighton; a brother Jeff and his wife Georgeann (Becker) of Bethlehem; granddaughters Charlotte and Savannah Yuricheck; and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Penelope Yuricheck and a sister Diane Heffelfinger.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky F.H., 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, PA with Pastor Marjorie Keiter officiating. Military Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park Cemetery, Tamaqua. Call Tuesday night 6-8:00 P.M. and Wednesday morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to the Nesquehoning Historical Society, 157 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, PA 18240.
