Mildred “Millie” Soley, 91, formerly of Coaldale, entered into eternal rest Friday January 5, 2018 in Heritage Hills Community Center, Weatherly. She was the wife of the late Andrew Soley who passed away March 20, 2000. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Lesko and Mary (Lenio) Paslawsky. She was a garment worker for the former Wargo Factory in Coaldale until retiring. She was a graduate of Coaldale High School Class of 1944. She was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Lansford where she was a member of the Ladies Guild, the rosary society, and the pirohi crew. Mildred loved playing the guitar, playing pinochle and listening to polkas. Her most enjoyable times were her yearly vacations at Beech Mountain with her family.
Surviving are two daughters Carol Ann Grejda and her husband Dennis of Allentown and Donna Blazosky of Summit Hill; grandchildren Robert, James, Brian, and Nicole Grejda, Kristin Black and Daniel Blazosky; great grandchildren Abby, Maggie, Andrew, Nolan, Nicholas, Alex, Leah, Millie, Danika, Grace, and Marida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded by an infant son Robert and sisters Anna Scarloss, Susan Danschaw, Antonia Krane, Martha Matrician, and Eva Zulick
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 09, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. John Byzantine Church, 104 E. Bertsch St., Lansford with Rev. Dr. Vasyl Chepelskyy officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Summit Hill. Call Monday 5-7:00 P.M. and Tuesday morning 9-9:30 A.M. in the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford. A Parasta service will be held Monday night at 7:00 P.M. In Lieu of flowers donations will be accepted in her name to Coaldale C.H.O.S.E.
