Nancy Jane Heckman, 72, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, May 19, 2026 in her residence.

She was the wife of the late Roy A. Heckman Sr. who passed away May 14, 2011.

Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Guy R. and Alice (Heffelfinger) Ulshafer.

She attended Tamaqua High School.

Nancy was well known for her cooking and baking and some of her most delicious recipes were her rice pudding and cookies.

Surviving are sons Michael P. Heckman and Roy A. Heckman Jr. both of Lansford; and a sister Mary DeBendict and her companion John Mateyak of Andreas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by sisters Beverly Grammes, Rose Smith, and Wanda McFarland; a brother Guy D. Ulshafer.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning with Pastor Cindy White officiating. Interment will be held privately in Hillside Cemetery, Effort. Family will receive friends from 6-7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.blazoskyfh.com.
