Nicholas Kuzo III, 78, of Jim Thorpe, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 3, 2024 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Kathleen “Neen” (Creedon) Kuzo. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 25th of this year. Born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, he was a son of the late Nicholas II and Mary (Hoherchak) Kuzo. He was employed as a hydraulic engineer for the former Bethlehem Steel for 36 years and was also employed as a Jim Thorpe Police Officer for 34 years until his retirement. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jim Thorpe. Nick was very active in his community and belonged to several organizations throughout Jim Thorpe and the surrounding area.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters Christine Daniels and her husband Ray, Jennifer Behan and her husband Darren, and Nicole “Nikki” Hurley and her husband Ryan all of Jim Thorpe; a son Nicholas “Tony” and his companion Tracey of Indiana; brothers Michael of Jim Thorpe and Joseph and his wife Carol of Weatherly; grandchildren Mallory, James, Zachery, Olive, Molly, Caiden, and Leila; great grandchildren Ariella, Harley, and Thorin; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother John Kuzo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 180 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229 with Rev. Ronald Minner officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery, Jim Thorpe. Family will receive friends Thursday morning 9:30-11:00 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The Joseph S.
