Olga (Smetana) Harrison
Olga S. Harrison, 89, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in The Summit at Blue Mountain Nursing and Rehab Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late John O. Harrison who passed away Jan 6, 2003. Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of late Peter and Anna (Drozd) Smetana. She was employed as a seamstress for the former Cassie Sportswear in Nesquehoning until retiring. She was a devoted member of St. John Russian Orthodox Church, Nesquehoning where she spent countless hours helping with church activities and fundraisers. She also enjoyed camping with her family.
Surviving are sons John R. of Lansford and David J. of Nesquehoning; grandchildren Jennifer Blasena and her husband John, Julia Trembeay and her husband Ryan, John S. Harrison and Jason Harrison; great grandsons Luke and Lance; a sister Mary Nastan of Florida; and a brother Paul Smetana and his wife Sandy of Endicott, NY.
She was also preceded in death by a brother Peter Guy.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. John Russian Orthodox Church, 9 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, with the Rev. Robert J. Teklinski officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Saturday morning 9-10:00 A.M. in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to the church. The Joseph S.
