Richard C. Walck Jr.
Richard Clair Walck Jr., 63, of Lansford, entered into eternal rest suddenly on February 06, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus. He was the husband of Dianne (Hajcak) Walck. They celebrated their 22nd Wedding Anniversary last October. Born in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Richard C. Walck Sr. and Ruth (Wassmer) Andrews of Lehighton. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran. He was employed as a Dock Worker for Orefield Cold Storage in Orefield and also worked at a mechanic in various auto garages throughout the area. He was a former member of All Saints Episcopal Church, Lehighton. He was also a former member of the Lansford Legion, the Lehighton Fire Company, and the Coaldale Rod and Gun Club. Rich enjoyed reading Superman Comic Books from the time he was a young boy. He also loved watching Hogan’s Heroes, The Three Stooges, doing word searches, drinking coffee, and relaxing. He also donated his time to the Lansford Food Pantry. Richard will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. His final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation to many families.
Surviving along with his wife and mother are daughters Tiffany Aucker and her husband Raymond of Ogden, Iowa and Amber Figueroa and her husband Nestar of Bethlehem; a brother Keith Walck of Easton; sisters Trudy Miller of Lehighton and Diane Poandl and her husband Charley of South Carolina; grandchildren Carolyn and Jonathan “Bubba” Aucker and Arriana and Melinee Figueroa; extended granddaughter Kendra Kemp; a niece Christa Evanko; a nephew Aaron Mantz; great niece Ellie; great nephews Gavin and one arriving in May; and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral Home, 340 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, PA. Family will receive friends 9-10:00 A.M. Interment will be held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sverchek-Blazosky Funeral home to help with funeral costs.
