Robert C. Black Jr., “Chiz” 68, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 04, 2024 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus. He was the son of the late Robert C. Sr. and Patricia A. “Patsy” (Kunzweiler) Black. Robert worked as a milk deliveryman for Jack Staivecki, and also worked for the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) of Carbon County. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley and a former member of Scared Heart Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church both in Nesquehoning where he took up the collections. He was a graduate of Carbon County High School Class of 1974 ranked first in his class. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Sixers and was also well versed in sports history. You would never see Bob without a Zimmerman Ice Tea in his hands.
Surviving are a sister Patricia Mansberry and her husband William of Summit Hill; a brother Timonthy Black of Nesquehoning; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother Lawerence Black.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. in the St. Jospeh Cemetery, Bloomingdale with Rev. Robert George officiating.
