1946-2020

Robert L. Chickilly, 74, of Nesquehoning entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus. He was the husband of Gail (Fiorentino) Chickilly. They celebrated their 48th Wedding Anniversary on March 10th of this year. Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Katherine (Rickert) Chickilly of Summit Hill and the late Robert Chickilly. He was employed as a laborer and a setup and repair man in several factories throughout the area. He was also an instructor for CCTI, Jim Thorpe.  He was a United States  Navy Veteran. He was a graduate of Summit Hill High School, Class of 1964.  He was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Nesquehoning. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Robert loved all animals especially his hunting dogs Jason and Milo. He also loved his fur babies the late Tyra, Nina who sat at his side in the morning while his said his daily prayers, and Ellie. 

Surviving along with his mother and wife are daughters Denise Kennedy and her husband Shawn and Amy Beth Chickilly and her companion Roosevelt Callirgos; sisters Lynda and Lauren Chickilly; a granddaughter Alexandra Kennedy; many nieces and nephews; and a grandniece Dahlia Janis.

He was also preceded in death by a nephew Michael Janis.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family with Father Allen Hoffa officiating.  Donations will be accepted in his name to the Carbon County Friends of Animals, 77 W. 13th St. Jim Thorpe, PA 18229.
