Ronald D. Goides Sr., 81, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 in his residence. He was the husband of Kathryn Vita Marie (Murlo) Goides. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 6th of this year. Born in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late Metro and Anna (Skapura) Goides. He was employed as a laborer for AMETEK in Nesquehoning until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. Ronald enjoyed camping, fishing, and doing projects around his home.

Surviving along with his wife are a daughter Angela Goides of New Hampshire; a sister Marlene Sierra of Florida; a grandson Nicholas Goides; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by sons Ronald D. Goides Jr. and John A. Goides and a sister Sandra Young.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home, 81 E. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning with Rev. Dr. Vasyl Chepelskyy officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Wednesday morning 10-11 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in his name to the American Cancer Society, 33 W. Ridge St., Lansford, PA 18232. The Joseph S.
