Rose “Roz” Harkins, 88 of Coaldale, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 19, 2025 in Forrest Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. She was wife of the late John J. Harkin who passed away October 19, 2012. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Helen (Goida) Yaroma. Roz was a graduate of Coaldale High School. She was employed as seamstress for several clothing factories throughout the area. She was also employed as sales women for Valley Athletic, Lansford. She was a member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Coaldale where she was a member of the Ladies Aide. Roz enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords but especially loved the time spent with her family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter Karen Harkins in Coaldale; a son Timothy Harkins and his fiancé Gail Maillet of Coaldale; a brother John “Jack” Yaroma Jr. and his wife Ann Marie (Santilli) of Lake Hauto; grandchildren Seth and Dylan Harkins; and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, 217 First St., Coaldale, PA with Rev. James Waremedic officiating. Interment will be held in Sky View Memorial Park, Hometown. Call Tuesday Morning 10-11:00 A.M. in the Church.
