Thomas “Bear” Santore, 72, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Monday, February 5, 2024 in his residence. Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Angelo and Cordelia (Rakos) Santore. He was employed for PennDOT for over 30 years until his retirement. He was of the Catholic Faith. He was a graduate of Panther Valley High School. Bear enjoyed fishing and loved socializing with his buddies over a coffee at the local gas station, but especially loved the time spent with his grandchildren.

Surviving are daughters Jodie Santore and her husband Michael Fanelli of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania and Jean Eidem and her husband Earl of Spring Lake, North Carolina; grandchildren Benjamin, Samatha, Alex, and Ryan Fanelli and Earl, Amanda, Amy, Justin, and Jenna Eidem; great grandchildren Roman, Josiah, Clara, and Hadley.

He was also preceded in death by his brother Gregory Santore on March 4, 2023.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Donations will be accepted in his name to Family Promise of Carbon County, 140 W.
