Thomas J. Sniscak, 88, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Saturday, May 11, 2024 in his residence. Born in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Tyahla) Sniscak. He was employed on the assembly line at Olin Aluminum and  then worked for KME until his retirement. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, Summit Hill and was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Nesquehoning. He was also a faithful attendee at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Nesquehoning. He was a graduate of Nesquehoning High School Class of 1953. He was the oldest member of the Nesquehoning Sokol Club where he was a former dart shooter. He was also a member of the former Nesquehoning Legion, the former Lansford AMVETS, the New Columbus Fire Company, the Nesquehoning Historical Society, and the former Nesquehoning Lions Club. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and long walks.

Surviving are sisters Mary Helen Rehatchek of Lake Hauto and Dorothy Atiyeh of Macungie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a sister Margaret Soltis and two nieces Mary Jean Soltis and Jayme Grimaldi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, 462 W. Ludlow St., Summit Hill with Rev. Robert George officiating. Interment will be held in SS Cyril and Methodious Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Call Wednesday night 6-8 P.M. in the Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home and Thursday morning 10-10:45 A.M. in St. Joseph Church, Summit Hill. The Joseph S. Blazosky Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
