Ursula Ann Digiglio
1940 - 2026
Ursula A. (Bochicchio) Digiglio, loving Wife, Mother, and Mom-Mom, 85, of Nesquehoning, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 12, 2026 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Salvatore A. Digiglio who passed away July 3, 2015.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Graziano) Bochicchio.
She was a 1958 graduate of Nesquehoning High School.
She was employed by the Panther Valley School District as a cafeteria aide in the elementary school.
She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Nesquehoning, and also a member of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley. She was also a member of the New Columbus Fire Company’s Women’s Auxiliary and the Carbon County Election Board, working as a poll worker for many years.
Surviving are her three daughters, Elizabeth Knox, wife of Theodore of Lake Hauto, Joanne Hodge, wife of Hal of Virginia Beach, VA, and Ursula Ann of Nesquehoning with whom she resided; a son, Salvatore Digilio Jr., and his wife, Maureen of Lehighton; a sister Annmarie (Bochicchio) Christ, wife of Clifford of California; Grandchildren Matthew Knox wife Kayla, Jenna (Hodge) Myers husband Lane, Jonathan Knox, Giovanna Marie Digilio; 2 Great Grandchildren Theo and Julia Knox; a daughter-in-law, Carol Digilio; niece Mary Frances (Plaia) Stoffer husband Jeffrey; nephews Peter Bochicchio and his children, Joseph Bochicchio, Dr Bradley Christ wife Carol and their children Washington; Jasper and Bella her loving Pet Protectors whom she loved dearly; Loving friend and caregiver, Sandy Adkins; and All the staff at Mountain City Nursing Home and Rehab especially 3rd Floor Blue and Lehigh Valley Health Network Hospice.
She was also preceded in death by her twin sister Antonina (Bochicchio) Plaia, brother Peter Bochicchio and her nephew Charles “Chuckie” Bochicchio.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shrine of St. Therese at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 15 E. Garibaldi Ave., Nesquehoning. Interment will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Nesquehoning. Family will receive friends Friday morning 10 to 11 a.m. in the Shrine. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted in her name to The Shrine of St. Therese of Lisieux, 118 N. Market St., Summit Hill, PA 18250. Online condolences at www.blazoskyfh.com.
